Tom Preu or Gang Laos is very popular in Northeast of Thailand. The ingredients of Gang Preu is fully contained with health benefits such as Thai herb :Baiyanang, Bomboo shoot and vegetables.

Gang Preu is highly beneficial such as Ya Nang leaf juice helps support immune system. Bamboo shoot has high fiber which helps about excretory system and mushroom and bird chili have variety of vitamin. Lastly hairy basil helps about gas in intestine.

 

Ingredients

500 grams Bamboo shoot

4 cupsYa Nang leaf juice

10 grams bird’s eye chili

½ cup Hairy basil

½ cupSpring onion, chopped

½ cupAcacia

3 tablespoons Burned sticky rice powder

½ cup mushroom, sliced

½ cup Pumpkin leaves

3 tablespoons Fish Sauce

3 Tablespoons Fermented fish sauce

KaengHor (Northern Mixed Curry)

Background “Hor” means combination. The dish is cooked by combining variety of food together. Formerly, GaengHor is made by cooking the leftover food, differentiate up to each local community. Kua Nhor Mai (Fried Bamboo Shoot)

Background The Northern Thai word for “Kua” means fry. This dish is very famous almost in every household.   Nutrition Facts Bamboo shoot is high in fiber, it controls the colon thus when bamboo shoot is consumed, the nutrients will be absorbed easily into the blood vessels. Moreover, it is rich with the protein from the pork and the condiments.   Ingredients 300 grams bamboo shoot 50 gram streaky pork 15 grams red chili 1 tablespoon chopped garlic Vegetable oil for frying Chili paste ingredients 7 bird’s eye chilies 15 grams clove of garlic 20 grams shallot 1 teaspoon shrimp paste 1 tablespoon fermented fish 1/2  teaspoon salt

Nam-Prik-Kha

    Background Nam-prik-kha is a rather dry chili dipping sauce containing galangal as a main ingredient.
